Hello! The Sussex County Library System will be hosting its annual Summer Reading Program.
This year’s theme is “All Together Now,” and we immediately thought of local businesses that feature family programs for all ages.
Any contribution (in the way of a gift certificate) you are able to make would go a long way in keeping families excited about coming to the library and, more importantly, keeping kids motivated to read all summer long. Studies show that children who read during the summer are better prepared for school when it resumes in the fall. That is the ultimate goal of the Summer Reading Program - to ensure that children have the necessary tools to succeed in school and life.
Last year, over 2,700 children and adults participated in the Summer Reading Program, and we are hopeful that this will be another big year for the program! If you choose to contribute, we will promote Medieval Times as a community sponsor on our marketing at all six branch libraries throughout the county, as well as all of our social media pages, our newsletter (with an outreach of 20,000 patrons) and/or on our website.
