We are the Buffalo Swimkins, a dynamic group of artistic swimmers! We are an all-inclusive team that is committed to developing athletes with a drive for excellence and a passion for synchronized swimming. Our international coaches are dedicated to helping each athlete reach his or her full potential by developing athletic skills while fostering confidence, instilling responsibility and commitment, teaching the value of hard work, goal setting/achieving, leadership, time management skills, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Founded in 1956, Swimkins is the oldest continuously registered team in US Synchronized Swimming membership history. We currently have 48 girls on our team and 2 boys. It is such a wonderfully unique opportunity for the children to work closely as a team, stay focused and fit, and learn healthy competition. The practices are from 2-3 hours and our swimmers practice 2-4 times per week at various pools in the Buffalo area: Maryvale High School, Buffalo State College, and University at Buffalo facilities.  Our athletes have diverse backgrounds and live throughout the entire Western New York area.

Swimkins have attended and competed in all Association, Regional, Zone, Junior National, Senior National, US Open, and National Junior Olympic Championships.  Our athletes have been finalists in many of these championships and have won several medals and championship titles throughout the years.  We have qualified swimmers for various National Teams, International competitions, National Elite Training camps, and Empire State Games, and many graduates of the program have obtained college scholarships and have participated in the collegiate synchronized/artistic swimming programs.

Specifically, Swimkins took Gold at the Junior Olympics from 2015-2019 in our junior age group which is a feat unrivaled by any other artistic swimming organization in the country.

Buffalo is an amazing community of close-knit hardworking people. We directly reflect this community ethos. Our athletes practice tirelessly from September through July, must have a tight bond of trust (they must swim as one!) and most importantly, our swimmers know that their success is predicated on hard work and dedication. Their collaboration through music, swimming, and dance is based on camaraderie, enthusiasm, and team spirit.

Thank you for your interest in our organization – our athletes are moving forward with incredible determination and enthusiasm – we would love to have you as a proud supporter of Buffalo Swimkins!
