Mission: Working in collaboration with communities and families, TEAMability gives children with complex disabililties opportunities to achieve their potential and experience the joy of success.
Vision: TEAMability imagines a community that challenges assumptions and advances the service delivery standard for children with complex disabilities.
After 18 years in existence, TEAMability remains the only organization in South Texas dedicated solely to children with complex multiple disabilities. We combine the expertise of speech, occupational and physical therapists with that of highly qualified special educators in the collaborative design of individualized learning plans that motivate the child to actively participate in life and learning. TEAMability is the only organiation that includes specialized visual skills development activites for children with cortical visual impairment; a pre-symbolic communication program for non-verbal children; and a summer aquatics program for medically fragile children as a part of our holistic comprehensive programming. Our services also include parent education, support, and family activities.
