The mission of Tech4Heroes is to evaluate the technological needs of Veterans in order to provide supportive services and access to educational resources. In short, we sign up Veterans for the Affordable Connectivity Program, provide a basic computer, and train them how to complete basic tasks like contacting the Veteran's Administration through myhealthevet, order groceries, etc...
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share our nonprofit’s agenda with you. We will be hosting our Fundraiser at the African American Museum at Fair Park. This event will not only raise needed resources but aid our main focus: to evaluate and support the technological needs of Veterans. Since the inception of new technology in today's society taking care of medical needs, connections at home, and social interaction is dependent on online sources. Because of this, Tech4Heroes has grown more aware of the need for digital equity and inclusion in certain communities. While many of us take technology in our homes for granted, for many Veterans access is limited or nonexistent.
As a new non-profit, Tech4Heroes relies on charitable contributions to connect Veterans to affordable or free internet, provide training, computer resources, and more. Our goal is to raise enough funds to equip Veterans with a computer, internet access and two years of maintenance, about six hundred fifty dollars ($650) for each individual. Through making a tax deductible donation to Tech4Heroes, you become an important part of our journey.
