The mission of Temple Beth Am of Northern Westchester is to serve as a center for the expression of Jewish life in all its richness.
As a people bound to both our history spanning thousands of years, as well as our strong faith, we strive tomaintain balance and tolerance by embracing our Jewish identity, our relationship to God and our secular heritage.

As a spiritual and welcoming place for the practice of Judaism in its diverse forms, we seek to create a community where the practice of Reform Judaism enriches and uplifts our lives with understanding, warmth, friendship and meaning.
We affirm our Judaism by embracing and understanding our Jewish heritage,
providing the opportunity for worship, fostering lifelong learning of Torah and other Jewish texts,
and stimulating and broadening our connections with the Jewish community and the Jewish people throughout the world.

We encourage the pursuit of social justice as we continue to strive towards Tikkun Olam, repairing of the world, through deeds of righteousness and acts of loving-kindness. We act upon our Jewish values, inspiring engagement in social action and social advocacy.

Diversity is the source of our strength.  We therefore foster and encourage the participation of
everyone who wishes to associate with Judaism regardless of background or level of commitment.

In order to advance the cause of Liberal Judaism in America and through the world,
this congregation shall affiliate itself with the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
