Temple ISD's vision is to instill the value of learning in each student and prepare them to be future leaders of society. Our mission is to inspire, motivate, and empower students to reach their maximum potential. This is acheved through respect, hard work, integrity, and promoting safe and supportive environments. Temple ISD nurses choose their career to impact their students by providing unparalleled care physically, mentally, and emotionally. They ensure a culture of health within the school community and foster a safe environment where children can learn and remain in class. These amazing nurses also perform numerous volunteer hours facilitating community education and community health.
National School Nurse Day offers an opportunity to thank your community school nurses for the special gifts they bring to thousands of children each year. Please consider a small donation to one of our 20 nurses to recognize and celebrate their contributions.
I met the Park President, Mr. Douaihy, during a visit last summer with my children and grandchildren. He took the time to visit with my son-in-law whom recently returned from a military deployment. Mr. Douaihy wished him healing for his injuries sustained in combat. He also bought my husband a coffee and thanked him for his service as a retired U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Douaihy did not realize that he had spoken with 2 members of my family that day. His compassion for others and superior customer service convinced us to purchase season passes. Your family friendly environment with superior entertainment continues to provide lasting family memories. A gift of any size would be cherished by my nursing staff and offer them respite and fun with their families.
