The Tenth Life's mission is to improve the quality of life for both animals and humans by bringing the two together through an adoption process. We work to find loving homes for homeless animals and care properly for them while they await adoption. We also work to educate the public about the importance of controlling the pet population through spaying and neutering.

After 30 years, The Tenth Life currently houses over 450 cats and kittens. We have specialized living quarters for cats with Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS. The Tenth Life is a no-kill shelter, funded solely by private contributions. The shelter has a paid veterinarian and is otherwise run by volunteers, including local teenagers. Volunteering at the shelter helps you learn to be compassionate about animals. You learn about responsibility with your care by cleaning, feeding, playing and loving them.
