TXTA Foundation was formed in 1978 to fund educational opportunities and community programs to enhance the understanding and image of the trucking industry. Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to deserving students attending college, university or trade/technical schools—having awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships since inception. The Foundation highlights the essentiality of the industry through partnerships with organizations such as Trucking Moves America Forward.
The trucking industry is the heart and soul of the supply chain, transporting everything from food and medicine to game day equipment that makes NFL games possible! When COVID-19 crippled the nation in 2020, truck drivers didn’t rest—they were on the roads day after day—never having the option to work from home. These are some of the hardest working women and men in the country. And it’s not just the truck drivers, it’s the entire industry. Mechanics, office personnel, dock workers and more all work together to keep the supply chain moving.
TXTA Foundation allows us to give back to the trucking community through our scholarship program and by educating the public on the importance of this industry--one that allows the supply chain to function and for commerce to flourish.
