At The Acorn, we are committed to following the principles of Child Development, including the studies of Piaget, Erikson, and others. Our focus is to provide children with concrete learning experiences where they can interact with materials in meaningful ways; and develop an understanding of their environment by experiencing the world through all their senses. We encourage creative thinking and exploration and believe that each child develops at their own pace on their timetable.
Our mission is to plan activities that set each child up for success, instilling a love of learning and a curiosity that inspires discoveries. We set individual goals for each child based on their developmental level and strive to create an environment that supports their growth and development in every way possible.
