The Arc of York County is committed to ensuring that all individuals with intellectual and other disabilities have the opportunity to choose where and how they learn, live, work, and play. The Arc believes it is important to:

• Empower people with intellectual disabilities to become active, vocal, and skilled community members.
  
  
• Support the families and friends of people with intellectual disabilities.
  
  
• Educate the community and facilitate the development of networks and support systems that allow people with intellectual disabilities to become valued members of their communities.

The Arc envisions a day when our community recognizes the value of people with intellectual disabilities, makes equal opportunities available to them, and supports them in whatever manner is necessary for their full participation.
