The Awty International School is the largest private day school in Houston, serving students from PK3 to 12th grade, and the largest international day school in the United States. Within a friendly and nurturing environment, which encourages learning and the pursuit of excellence, Awty celebrates linguistic, cultural and international diversity and seeks to maximize the potential in all of our students as they grow to become responsible world citizens.
Awty is proud to serve a diverse student body of more than 1,700 students from more than 50 countries. About a third of Awty students hold citizenship from a nation other than the United States. In this unique and culturally rich environment, Awty prepares students to learn and lead in an increasingly interconnected world.
Language programs are a cornerstone of the Awty curriculum, and every student is required to take courses in a second language. As you walk the halls, you may hear students and teachers conversing in French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Dutch, German, or any other of the more than 50 languages spoken by members of the Awty community.
Awty offers students a rigorous path to graduating with either the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or the French Baccalauréat (FB) Diploma. Awty is the only school in Houston to be fully accredited by the French Ministry of Education.
