The Baby Fold has been serving children and families since 1902. We currently serve over 1200 individuals every year through programs that wrap services around children and families across 28 counties in Central Illinois.
Some of the main programs The Baby Fold provides are:
Foster Care: Provides safe, loving homes for children placed by DCFS.
Adoption Support and Preservation (ASAP): In-home therapy and support for adoptive families in 22+ Central Illinois counties.
Intact Family Services: Works with families at risk of losing custody to keep children safely at home, avoiding further trauma from family separation
Hammitt Schools: Special education programs for students (age 3-21) with emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges, including autism.
Healthy Start & Doula Programs: Home visits from pregnancy through age 5 to support young families and promote child development.
Caregiver Connections: Statewide mental health consultation for child care providers and early educators.
Community Schools: Partners with local schools to improve academic and social outcomes for students and families.
Attachment & Trauma Training: Education for professionals on how trauma affects children and how to support healing.
