We are writing to you on behalf of the Brandon W. Smith Foundation. This foundation was founded in 2017 to help bring awareness to the impact chronic health issues has on your mental health. Brandon’s life ended tragically and our mission is to ensure that this does not happen again. The foundation is holding its fourth annual Midnight Madness, “It’s Midnight Somewhere” event, a no-tap bowling event and tricky tray, on August 6th. This event helps raise funds that the foundation uses to provide scholarships, sponsor related events and bring informational lectures to our young adults. Since our inception we have distributed over $40,000 in scholarships across many school districts. One huge accomplishment this year was our partnership with the BOCES and Clarkstown School District to bring suicide awareness training to the teachers and counselors.
