The Bridge: A School/Community Partnership is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that recruits, screens, trains, and places volunteers in the Melrose Public Schools. Our philosophy is that young people benefit greatly when community members contribute their time, talent, and expertise to assist public education.

In response to requests from teachers and administrators, volunteers are used to support, augment and enhance programs in the five elementary schools, the middle school and the high school. Bridge volunteers are parents, retirees, grandparents, professionals, people from the business community, government employees, and high school and college students.
