My name is Chastity Oakes , and I am writing on behalf of The Bunice Henderson Jones New Career Foundation. Our
organization is one that helps low-income and disadvantaged ones in the community that want to change their living status
through vocational education and pursue a new career or advancement. We do this by awarding educational scholarships and
needed childcare grants while in school to support their career change. These educational scholarships pay for the full tuition
of a vocational program. The childcare grants awarded will be for childcare while in school to support the student's attendance
and completion of the educational program. We are very passionate about assisting low-income and disadvantaged
ones to obtain their education and become skilled professionals within our community.
At The Bunice Henderson Jones New Career Foundation, we are currently working on a project that involves us building our
scholarship fund to be able to issue grants and scholarships. These are educational scholarships that pay for the full tuition of
a vocational educational program. The scholarships will range anywhere from $1000- $10,000 depending on the vocational
program selected. The childcare grant will be based on the childcare center's rates and the number of needed childcare hours
while the student is in school. Those will range anywhere from $500-$2000 approximately.
