The Canadian Centre for Men and Families Family Shelter is the first metropolitan  emergency shelter for men and their children who are  escaping abuse from their intimate partners (including same-sex partners), as well as men 50 years and over who are escaping abuse from their live-in caregiver. CCMF Family Shelter  provides a safe environment for men and their children at critical turning points in their lives. We also provide support services which include crisis intervention, assessment, support, safety planning, referrals and counselling to both men and children affected by an intimate partner and live-in caregiver abuse. Men and children are provided with a secure and welcoming environment at any time, day or night. We provide: 8-bed residence open 24/7Free emergency transportation to shelter, High level security system, Crisis intervention, support, counseling and referrals, safety planning for men, children and youth at every turning point.

We believe that every person has the right to live in dignity, free from exploitation. With special emphasis on men we work to empower all individuals to reach their full potential in body, mind, and spirit.  Violence against anyone  is any threat, act or physical force that is used to create fear, control or intimidation.
