The Children’s Greenhouse is a not-for-profit childcare center on the campus of Nassau Community College. Our mission is to provide affordable quality childcare in a nurturing environment. The Children’s Greenhouse has an outstanding reputation for providing quality childcare (infants through preschoolers) to over 150 families each year. Most of the children in our program are children of student parents, many of whom are young, single parents. These parents would be unable to pursue an education and achieve their goals of becoming working members of our community if it were not for the services of the childcare center.
Every effort is made to keep childcare fees affordable for parents. However, as costs increase and fiscal constraints tighten, it has become apparent that our efforts to meet these challenges require the support of our entire community.
