NVLA’s Parent-Teacher Organization, we support our school and community activities through fundraising efforts. Funds are used to promote visual and performing arts, classroom activities, technology, international cultural exchange experiences, site development, cross-cultural understanding, multiple language acquisition, community events, special projects and overall student enrichment! Programs that C.L.A.S.E. currently supports include:

After-School Enrichment Classes
Classroom Supplies
Field Trip Funds
Garden
Music Program - including instruments
School Assemblies - school wide activities, author visits, education or inspirational guest
Science Camp/Outdoor Education - 6th Grade
Teacher & Staff Appreciation

Our students not only become bicultural but become bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English. NVLA enrolls a balanced number of native English and native Spanish speakers, creating a much sought-after, vibrant, and diverse school community. Almost 700 local children in kindergarten through sixth grade acquire the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic in both Spanish and English each year. Students who continue in the dual immersion program through high school may receive the seal of bi-literacy on their diploma as well as a special certificate from the International Spanish Academy. Along with the dual immersion program, students get the opportunity to experience amazing enrichment classes free of charge. These classes include music, performing arts, sports, gardening and many others. Our fundraisers cover the costs of all this!
