By way of background, the Clifton School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit early childhood center affiliated with Emory University, Children’s Hospital of Atlanta (CHOA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Clifton School’s mission is to provide state of the art childcare and education for employees of Emory, CHOA, and the Centers for Disease Control and full-time Emory students that recognizes and respects the rights of children, teachers, and families.

The Clifton School's early childhood centers operate on two campuses – one located by the main CDC building and the other located on Emory University’s Clairmont campus. The Clifton School is supported solely by tuition and fundraising efforts by parents and by the dedicated efforts of its teachers and administrators.
