Established in 1947, The Cove School provides highly individualized education and life strategies for children from throughout the Chicagoland area with complex learning disabilites and related disorders. The Cove School was the first school in the nation founded exclusively for students with learning disabilites, and remains a leader in the field today. Our students come from over 60 different school districts across Chicagoland, as well as from Wisconsin and Indiana. Our two campuses are located in Northbrook, IL: our K-12 campus and our Cove Career center, which opened in 2022 and provides a contiuum of services to students age 18-22.
Cove's Vision and Mission:

- Cove provides students with customized learning strategies while faciliating social, emotional, and self-advocacy skills.
- Cove provides opportunities to transition to the community school or make a post-secondary choice.
