The Foundation for Hope Village was established as a non-profit, non-sectarian foundation dedicated to building and operating Hope Village. The Village, which opened in 1970, began with one home for seven residents with an Intellectual Developmental Disability. Today, our eighteen-acre campus has five homes for more than 65 residents and also serves a large non-resident population by providing day-care, and respite care. Hope Village provides a place for its “villagers” to work, learn and see the practical results of their labors. By living, learning, and working in a loving, nurturing, and appropriately-equipped community, Hope Village residents are able to know success, feel pride, and develop a sense of security and self-reliance.
With the support of organizations like yours, we will continue our mission of serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for many years to come.
