The Gray Scholarship Foundation for DeMatha High School was established originally to help the children of a DeMatha alumni Ricky Gray who had suddenly passed away help with the tuition cost at DeMatha to allow his boys to stay in school and graduate. Unfortunately one son Brian was tragically killed in a car accident by a PG officer in 2007. The annual golf tournament for this foundation was then named after Brian. The Gray Scholarship Fund helps assists families in need or those families dealing with the sudden loss of a loved one.
