The Greater Fort Smith Association of Home Builders is a professional organization that promotes quality housing for our community. We strive to increase public awareness of the products and services our members provide and advocate industry standards. Our association also developed a Residential Construction Apprentice Program. This program is free to the students. Our association members hire them to work as apprentices during the training program. They earn while they learn. At the end of the program, the graduate will be able to work as roofers, floor layers, drywall installer, insulation worker, cabinet maker or maintenance and repair worker. We want to help those that don't have the resources for education to learn a trade to be able to get the education needed to find a career where they can be successful and make a good living to support themselves and their family. Keeping them off the street and working in a skilled trade.
