The Heart Foundation’s mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of heart disease (the #1 cause of death for both men and women in the US), educating the public, and supporting innovative research for improved methods of prevention, detection and treatment.  The Heart Foundation was established in 1996 in memory of Steven S. Cohen who lost his life to a sudden heart attack at the age of 35, leaving behind his wife and two and five year old daughters.  Steve had no warning signs or symptoms prior to the heart attack that took his life.  Our mission to prevent other families from experiencing the devastating loss of a loved one to this silent killer.
