Heart disease is the #1 cause of death for both males and femailes in the United States, but it is also one of the most preventable.  The Heart Foundation’s mission is to save lives from heart disease by increasing awareness, educating the public, and funding innovative research for improved methods of prevention, detection and treatment.  The Heart Foundation was established in 1996 in memory of Steven S. Cohen who lost his life to a sudden heart attack at the age of 35, leaving behind his wife and two and five year old daughters.  Steve had no warning signs or symptoms prior to the heart attack that took his life.  Our mission to prevent other families from experiencing the devastating loss of a loved one to this silent killer.
