We are a children, youth, and community development organization serving in KC's disinvested east side. We have after school programs for K-12th grade. We also serve the families with monthly events. We have a weekly Men's Fraternity and 2 community wide events (Juneteenth and Fall Festival) where families and neighbors gather (up to 1200+) for a safe and fun evening. To address other systemic issues in our community we started the first healthcare clinic in our zipcode in 2009. In 2011, we started a public charter for K-5th grade. We are renovating a historic church into expanded programming and community space, have vacant lots for future affordable housing and long-term hope to build an arts, rec, tech center to bring positive assets into our community.
Our mission is to provide programs and opportunities for growth and development where children, youth, and families can flourish on Kansas City's east side. We believe in serving holistically the body, mind, and spirit and do so with culturally relevant staff and programs.
