The mission of The Iowa Children’s Museum is to inspire every child to imagine, create, discover and explore through the Power of Play!

Each exhibit provides hands-on opportunities for children to learn about the world around them. Our colorful spaces are not only fun, but they’re also backed by overwhelming research that says playing is essential to a child’s development! Every time a child visits The ICM, they’re learning through the Power of Play.

We offer numerous onsite and offsite programs throughout the year including Kinder Club, Tech Trek, Nature Play, and a variety of other camps, mini-camps, and workshops .
