Junior Council is a Chicago-based nonprofit associate board that raises funds for the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.  Established in 1987 by Dr. Ram Yogev and Dr. Ellen Chadwick, Lurie Children’s Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program cares for more children and adolescents than any other pediatric HIV service in the region.  Our mission is to support the Special Infectious Diseases clinic and ensure that all children with HIV/AIDS will have access to high-quality pediatric healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.

95% of the clinic’s patients come from underserved communities, and Junior Council’s financial support is essential to operation. As a result of our fundraising efforts, Junior Council is able to provide much needed laboratory tests, medications, and services for uninsured patients and patients coming from low income families. To date, Junior Council has raised over $2 million for the clinic.
