The mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was established in 1949, five years after Rudolph and Antoinette Villiers lost their 16-year-old son to leukemia. Today, LLS is the largest not-for-profit health agency dedicated to finding cures and better treatments for those diagnosed with blood cancer. Since its founding, LLS has invested $1 billion in research to advance therapies and save lives. Advised by leading biomedical research and clinical experts, LLS identifies and funds the most promising blood cancer research based on unmet medical needs of blood cancer patients, without restriction by commercial return, market size, or geography. LLS is also the leading source of blood cancer information, education, and support. We touch patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals in local communities through our 59 chapters across the United States and Canada, helping patients navigate their cancer treatment and ensuring they have access to affordable, quality care.
