The Magical Mila Foundation was launched in 2019 in memory of my 17-month-old daughter, Mila, who passed away from complications of Neurofibromatosis Type 1. Since her passing, my husband and I started the MMF and together with Mila’s doctors, we created BP UNDER 3 at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This project included a successful clinical trial that tested (and now utilizes) technology to obtain accurate blood pressure readings in high risk children under the age of three. Because of BP UNDER 3, correct BP readings are up by 200% at CHOP! To date, we have raised $650,000, but we are just getting started!
