Our mission is to reach out to young adults and their communities with suicide prevention education and scholarship awards. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention lists protective factors that can help to mitigate a person's risk for suicide. Our fund focuses on building selected protective factors into the lives of adolescents and young adults: being proactive about mental health, connection to community support, and problem-solving/coping skills. We collaborate with direct service organizations by providing human and financial capital. We fund suicide prevention education programs to schools across the country through Mindwise, Inc. We provide scholarship awards to high school students in CT, MA, and RI for use in post-secondary education, including vocational education programs.
