Since 1893, the Meriden Humane Society (MHS) has been a not-for-profit no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility in CT. Many of our animals are taken from high risk situations such as kill pounds, cruelty investigations, and private residents who can no longer care for their animals. Our organization is privately run and is supported solely on donations from the public. We are in no way connected to either the Connecticut Humane Society or the Humane Society of the United States and do not receive any funding from the City or State.
We do many fundraisers throughout the year to raise much needed money to help support our animals. All donations will 100% support the Meriden Humane Society and benefit the hundreds of animals the shelter sees and cares for each year.
