The Milton Public Library has been serving the community since 1923. The library's mission is to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our community. Our principles guide us to provide equitable access to information, service, social responsibility, and sustainablility to encourage curiosity.

The donation would be for our Summer Reading Program. Each year our Summer Reading Program grows to include more children, teens, and adults thanks to continued community support and donations. Our Summer Reading Program promotes readin over the summer to prevent the "summer slide" a decline in reading ability and other academic skills that can occur when school is not in session. The program also fosters an ongoing love of learning in all areas, including science, engineering, arts, and music.

For many families with elementary-aged children, the public library is the only community space available during the summer months where they can access free education and cultural enrichment activities and programs. Our goal is to provide prizes and incentives to encourage reading and participation in programming, as wekk as to reward children and adults who go above and beyond expectations.
