"On December 16, 2000, my life was changed forever.  My daughters, Stephanie (20) and Lindsey (17) were in a tragic car accident.  Stephanie did not survive, and Lindsey was in critical condition.  Sitting for hours in the ICU with Lindsey, I nearly fainted – not having eaten in over 24 hours.  A kind nurse shared her sandwich with me.  It was because of this kindness that The Network of Care was founded.  To turn a tragedy into an opportunity to help others."   - Janet Frazier

Since 2004, The Network of Care a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, has prepared, and delivered a bagged meal to over 325,000 families, helping families at over 50 hospitals. These include several Children’s Hospitals, family houses, and community hospitals with pediatric units, intensive care nurseries and trauma centers. During the pandemic, we continued to deliver food to hospitals for desperate families who are caring for their in-patient children during this very difficult time.

Due to hospital demands, we are serving more and more families every year.  We do this without a paid staff or overhead expenses.  We are all volunteers; therefore, all proceeds go into the program to feed these families who desperately need our help.

Our volunteers include special needs young adults learning vocational skills who assemble the meal bags.  Their daily work with The Network of Care gives them transferable skills to help transition from high school to adult life and helps secure employment after graduation.
