The Next Stop Foundation has served adults with special needs in our community in 2007. These adults age out of school at 22 years old followed by a difficult transition into adulthood. This underserved population often become lonely, depressed and experience social/cognitive skill regression with the lack of consistent peers and the mentoring of a teacher. Three afternoons a week, The Next Stop provides social, recreational and learning opportunities and experiences for our members.
This effort has proven to be a valuable resource for our members and their families. All activities are goal oriented and facilitated by trained volunteers.
