I am writing to you on behalf of The Oaks School, a progressive, independent, nonprofit K-6 school located in the heart of Hollywood. The school’s unique child-centered, constructivist-based approach is designed to develop each student's abilities,
confidence, and sense of responsibility for themselves and their community. By promoting a warm environment of kindness, respect, and inclusivity, The Oaks seeks to
produce compassionate young people who can emerge as a new generation of leaders in a multicultural world.
Our school’s commitment to financial access, civic engagement and social justice are
just a few of the main reasons families choose The Oaks. However, it is only through
the generous support from the parents and broader community during our tentpole
fundraising event, The Oaks Silent Auction, that we are able to continue our broad
financial-aid program and our significant auxiliary programs: Center for Civic Engagement, Student Leadership, and Service Learning.
