Our mission is to provide excellence and innovation in orchestral music performance and education that serves and engages the community.

For more than 30 seasons, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra (OPO) has enriched the cultural landscape of Central Florida. The OPO's extraordinary symphonic performances, stimulating educational programs, and widespread community engagement impact more than 150,000 Central Florida residents and visitors annually.

The Annual Concert Season includes six major series:

1. The Classics Series features internationally renowned guest artists, timeless classics, unique collaborations, and newly commissioned works by living composers.

2. The Pops Series features a variety of popular music, including jazz, musicals, movie scores, rock tributes, and holiday favorites.

3. The Focus Series offers audiences the opportunity to enjoy the professional musicianship of orchestra members, coupled with guest artists and a mix of works by classical composers with new work by diverse contemporary composers in a more intimate setting.

4. Symphony Storytime presents music to children 3-7, instilling an early love for music with beautiful classical music, unforgettable narrators, beautiful illustrations, and hands-on activities.

5. The Resonate Festival featuring an Artist-in-Residence with 4 main stage concerts with 4 salon style ensemble concerts with artist in residence.

6. Four Summer Serenades concerts are also included annually in our season programming.

Each year in addition to our concert series, the OPO performs several free family and community concerts across Central Florida, entertains patients and families at local hospitals, and provides live music for special projects for the Orlando Museum of Art, Orlando Ballet, and Opera Orlando productions as well as a variety of other outreach performances.

The OPO has a longstanding commitment to education, serving more than 75,000 students, parents, and teachers annually. Our education programs include Young People's Concerts, Musician Residencies at local preschools and elementary schools, OPO High School Orchestras of Distinction, Notes in Your Neighborhood, and private music lessons for students in Title I schools.
