The Retrievers is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to finding lost dogs and returning them to their owners as well as ensuring stray dogs are rescued and brought to no-kill shelters. We are the only volunteer organization in Minnesota dedicated to helping families and rescues recover their missing dogs. Because so many lost dogs are skittish and afraid of people, we use innovative technology to locate, catch, and identify them, including:
- Drone cameras for aerial searching
- Microchip scanners for identifying the owners of stray dogs
- Large enclosure traps triggered when the dog breaks a sensor
- Strategic placement of signs and flyers
- Cellular trail cameras for 24/7 monitoring of traps through photos sent by email
