The Salvation Army of Greater Macon stands as a beacon of hope for homeless individuals, families, and veterans. In 2023, our efforts offered assistance to nearly 100,000 people with vital program services including emergency shelter, rent, utilities, employment, life skills classes, and clincial and spiritual counseling. We also served over 90,000 individuals through our Community Feeding Program which provides three nutritious meals a day to not only our shelter residents but our community as well.

Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Vision: Motivated by the love of God, as a leader in Christian faith-based human services, The Salvation Army is committed to serving the whole person, body, mind and spirit, with integrity and respect, using creative solutions to positively transform lives.

The Salvation Army’s eleven articles of faith reflect our determination to remain faithful to our standards and principles. All members of The Salvation Army’s Church are encouraged to review these principles from time to time and to reaffirm before God their dedication to Him and to His good works.
