The purpose of the Scott Spouses' Club shall be to develop, organize, and sponsor educational, charitable, and social activities. The goal is to foster, protect, and preserve the ideals of charity, benevolence, and camaraderie in keeping with the ideals of the United States Armed Forces, and to collect and disseminate information of interest and value to its members.
The Scott Spouses’ Club is non-profit charitable organization with a charitable mission. We take pride in being able to contribute to both the base and local community. For many years, the SSC has donated over $23,000 annually to our community. Our fundraising activities throughout the year benefit our Scholarship and Charitable Grant programs, which benefit Youth Center activities, and the base library, as well as programs such as local schools, food pantries, the USO, Fisher House, scouting programs, organizations on Scott AFB, and many others.
Part of the mission of the Scott Spouses Club (SSC) is to give back to our community. What better way than to chart the course for military dependents and spouses through our scholarship opportunities. Over the last three years, we have awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to military dependents, last year we gave scholarships to 20 alone! Through these scholarships, we applaud our applicants for their outstanding academic achievement and community involvement. It is the support from this community that enables this program to be successful year after year, and we hope that you would like to partner with us for this great cause.
The SSC also hosts an annual trivia and silent auction in February. There are numerous ways to support our trivia night and silent auction, including trivia round sponsorship, donation of auction items, or monetary donations. Examples from the past contributions include merchandise of any kind, gift cards for merchandise or services, gift baskets filled with items, tickets to athletic or cultural events, theme parks, area shows, gift certificates for dining, shopping, and other retail interests.
