The “See Ya Later” Foundation is a non-profit organization that began out of the inspiration of a 12-year-old boy who died of cancer. Scott Banke had a zest for life and a courage that motivates the mission of the Foundation which is: Inspiring Youth ~ Encouraging Families.
We carry out our Mission through the following three programs:
1. Scott Banke Memorial Scholarships: We award 10 college scholarships worth $2,000 each to Yamhill County High School Seniors! In addition, there are 6 scholarships awarded from our Washington Chapter in Auburn. A total of $247,000 has been awarded to-date! Students apply and are interviewed. We are looking for impact-makers.
2. Youth Camps/Opportunities: NEW UPDATES: During the pandemic, we began offering Kids Competitions! We’ve held several Cook-Off Competitions such as: Special ingredient: pumpkin, blueberries, Valentine’s Cupcakes, Christmas Cookie Decorating Contest, Lego and an Art Competition. Parents are loving our competitions; it’s encouraging their kids to be creative, accomplishing something wonderful, receiving valuable feedback from our Judges and some very nice prizes. We completed our first Softball/Baseball Training Camp this spring! Our Fishing Derby Camp was May 7th, 2022!
3. Seeds of Hope: We provide financial resources to families in a time of great need when a parent or child is stricken with a life-threatening medical crisis by encouraging them in a variety of ways with no strings attached. The Seeds of Hope program has connected with over 170 families in Oregon and over 130 in Washington.
