We are a small, long-term program for single mothers and their children coming from homelessness. The women who reside at the Well often have no other place to go – they are living in poverty and most are victims of domestic violence. Today, the Well of Mercy provides a home for 12 women and 18 children.

The Well is more than a shelter. We not only provide warm beds and a warm meal. We also provide a continuum of services. From counseling and financial literacy to education support, tutoring, and parenting skills training.

This place provides direction to help women break the cycle of poverty and abuse. By allowing women and their children up to five years in a safe, uplifting community we give them the time they need to finish their education and begin the next step of their journey towards independence.
