The mission of the There is No Hero in Heroin Foundation (TINHIH) is to promote awareness, educate the public and encourage and serve those struggling with addiction and those who love them. We are dedicated to raising the curtain on the epidemic of substance use disorder in our schools, the scarcity of rehabilitation programs, and the need for quality federally and state funded recovery community organizations. There is no hero in heroin, only those who overcome. What Are Our Goals? AWARENESS-PREVENTION-TREATMENT-RECOVERY
TINHIH hosts public awareness events, harm reduction/overdose prevention public trainings, and recovery resource fairs. Adolescent intensive outpatient for substance use disorder and co occurring mental health disorders are provided to those whom meet the criteria for treatment based on the ASAM standard. Peer recovery support services are delivered in a safe and family friendly environment. Preventive services are delivered through evidence based programming- Strenghtening the Family. All services are free of charge with a sliding scale for those whom are under/not insured or for whom insurance has lapsed.
