Tin Mountain Conservation Center is a 501(c)3 environmental education organization.  Every year we provide Environmental Education programs to over 5000 students - grades K-12 - throughout the Mt. Washington Valley and Western Maine.  During the summer months we serve about 300 campers at one of our 4 camp locations.  Residents, families, individuals and valley visitors are invited and encouraged to enjoy one of our many year-round Nature Programs that are held in various locations as far North as Berlin and South to Tamworth and Freedom.  Naturalist-let field trips and snow shoe trips are scheduled throughout the year to study geology and ecology and many attend our birding programs.  EcoForums discuss current affairs as they relate to the environment and many of our topics deal with sustainability and how we can help improve environmental conditions for future generations. In addition to the wide range of school and community based environmental education programs, we manage lands, maintain trails and work in sustainable forestry.  Research interns collect data and conduct avian and trout restoration research to name just a few focus areas.  Tin Mountain has been providing Environmental Education, Conservation and Research programming for over 40 years.
