This Wild West-themed celebration benefits the entirely donation-funded Amerman Family Foundation Dog Therapy Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. These much-loved volunteer teams of therapy dogs and their handlers provide dog therapy's unique physical, emotional, and social benefits to hospital patients, their families, and even hospital staff.

In 2024, the program reached a new milestone: Volunteers logged 100,000 interactions with patients, team members, and families.

More of the Dog Therapy Program’s impact, by the numbers:

Dog teams visit from early morning to night, seven days a week, all year round.
Teams round every inpatient unit about every 3 days.
Teams visit roughly 1,000 patients each month.
The program conducted 900 hours of training in 2024.

Net proceeds from our annual events benefit this dog therapy organization that provides the physical, emotional and social benefits of dog therapy to patients and their families. This important program is entirely donation-funded and the dog-handlers are volunteers.  Titania K9 Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization (#88-3956990) that hosts a single annual event for this very special cause.

Our story is simple and heartfelt. Young artist and ardent animal lover Tory Kane valued visits from the therapy dogs so much that she requested before passing away in 2015 that donations in her memory be directed to the hospital’s dog therapy program.

“Titania” is an original character created by Tory to represent the superhero inside each child battling illness or injury and “K9” is Titania’s trusted therapy dog.  To date, the Titania K9 Fund has raised over $95,000 for dog therapy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles by holding annual events in the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys.

We hold a lively silent auction and our attendees experience the food, music and fun of Wanted: Wild West Gala with the added bonus of meeting the dog therapy teams in person!

We recognize our donors on Instagram, Facebook, and on our web page.
