I am a volunteer writing to you on behalf of Toa Tumaini Foundation.

 

Toa Tumaini Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to support local Tanzanian efforts to better the lives of vulnerable children in rural Tanzania.

 

We have been working to educate and empower vulnerable children living in poverty since we first opened Project Hope Nursery School in 2012.  ​"In sub-Saharan Africa alone, 247 million children are deprived of their basic rights ...For children, poverty means being deprived in crucial aspects of their lives such as nutrition, health, water, education or shelter. UNICEF estimates that 2 in 3 children across sub-Saharan countries suffer from two or more of these deprivations" (UNICEF, 2015). In the past several years we have dedicated our time to maintaining our nursery school and creating sponsorship programs to fund further education.​
