Together We Cope is a homeless prevention agency that provides food, shelter, clothing, financial assistance and referrals. Our programs enable people to stay in their homes during a family crisis and empower them to return to self-sufficiency.
What does that mean? It means we are there for your neighbor after their house caught on fire and have no clothes or anywhere to go. We are helping your coworkers parents who are on a fixed income and are struggling to pay their mortgage and fill their prescriptions at the same time. We help the war vet who is back in Illinois and can’t find a job to get him back on his feet. We are proud to report that fully 92 cents of every dollar donated to our agency goes directly to client programs.
In 2019, Together We Cope provided more than 60,000 meals to families and individuals a 40% increase compared to 2018 as well provided 3,377 individuals with financial assistance allowing them to stay in their homes. Your support helps fulfill the needs of this growing demand within our Chicago Southland community. Program care includes providing food, shelter, clothing and additional referrals to counselors or other organizations which empower individuals to return to self-sufficiency.
