Mission: TOGETHER WE THRIVE aims to connect vulnerable, homeless, foster and sex trafficked youth across North Texas with their community. We commit to walk beside these youth while helping them rewrite their future. We seek to replace labels of loneliness and hopelessness that once defined them with opportunities and the ability to get to a place of sustainability.
Description: Together We Thrive provides full-time, paid Life Coaches, who meet with vulnerable, homeless, foster, and sex trafficked youth in Dallas ISD and Frisco ISD to provide relational internvention for each youth. Life Coaches meet with each youth 1:1 each week on the same day and time, during the school day at their schools. During their time with each youth, Life Coaches build a relationship with the youth and help the youth learn social emotional learning skills and life skills and help youth set and achieve goals. Together We Thrive NEVER cancels, so youth can always count on having a Life Coach to meet with at their regularly scheduled time. Together We Thrive Life Coaches have bachelor degrees or higher and experience working with vulnerable youth. Outside of their regularly scheduled time with their youth, Life Coaches often attend their youths' extracurricular activities and other events. Life Coaches are often the only consistent adult in their youths' lives.
