Touch of Grey Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded in February 2019 with the specific goal thand mission to rescue/save the senior and special needs dogs in shelter as well as those that need to be re-homed in the state of Florida. We are an all breed, all volunteer, foster based group. We do not have a brick and mortar shelter as all of our dogs go into loving foster family homes while they are healing both physically and emotionally. At any time we have almost 40 dogs in our care. Our hope is that they will all be adoptable, but some due to medical reasons will not be adoptable and will stay with their "fospice" foster till they pass.
The current average we spend per dog is $3,000 for medical, supplies,etc. With the high number of surgeries we do, sometimes those numbers can triple. We provide our dogs with dignity and quality of life that many had not experienced.
