The mission of Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research is to provide professional, compassionate rehabilitation to native injured and orphaned wild birds and contaminated wildlife, and to promote their stewardship through education and humane research.

Tri-State’s Wild Bird Clinic serves all three counties in Delaware, plus more than 40 surrounding counties in MD, NJ, PA, and beyond. Each year, we treat approximately 3,500 native wild birds that have been injured, orphaned, or contaminated. Our team of professional wildlife rehabilitators and highly trained volunteers offer these birds their best, if not only, chance at a healthy return to the wild.

Our Oiled Wildlife Response Team is ready 24/7/365 to assist wildlife affected by oil and hazardous spills regionally, across the U.S., and around the world. Tri-State is one of just a handful of organizations in the United States that can manage a large-scale oiled wildlife response effort.
