Troops Direct expedites the acquisition of requested gear and equipment to service members than cannot obtain critical items via the DOD supply system in the timeframe needed. Contrary to other organizations that send traditional care packages, Troops Direct is request based only and specializes in medical, tactical and operational support. We do this at zero charge to the requesting unit.
Service members often deploy or train without the gear that is essential to their mission profile. This is due to a myriad of government inefficiencies which can include budgetary shortfalls, bureaucratic red tape or logistical backlogs. Commonly, a unit will wait 6-9 months for their request to progress though the chain of command for approval. From there is must enter into the contract bidding process on purchases exceeding $3,500.00. Troops Direct augments the military supply line as we can immediately ‘click and ship’ any item via our established and trusted vendor network to service members positioned anywhere in the world. The end result is an increase in mission effectiveness and esprit de corps.
Troops Direct has no equal. We support any American element anywhere on the globe. While there are other benevolent organizations that only support a select group of service members -Medics, Marines, Snipers, Green Berets - Troops Direct prioritizes and fulfills the requests received based upon the need, no matter what type of unit. Additionally, each request is thoroughly and confidentially vetted for authenticity through our network of Active Duty Officers and Senior Enlisted Leaders of each service.
